A toast to 25 years of SECURICO

SECURICO celebrated its Silver Jubilee on December 1, 2023 themed Our journey, our people, delivering excellence since 1998. Three hundred guests including some of SECURICO pioneers who were
there for the past 23 to 25 years, valued clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders were in attendance.
Guests were warmly greeted and attended to by SECURICO management, drills, and martial arts
displays by SECURICO operatives.

The energy was palpable with those present anticipating what lay
in store for the night. Reverend Dr Paradza of the MCZ opened the event with devotion. The crowd was greatly moved by the corporate video depiction of SECURICO’s milestones leading up to this point.
It was born out of necessity and a vision of reshaping a male-dominated industry. We caught up with SECURICO head of human resources and quality assurance, Mark Kupfuwa, who has been with the company for 20 years who said: “Building SECURICO has been quite an exciting journey for the whole team led by Dr Divine Simbi Ndhlukula.” In her welcome remarks, business development manager Ntando Ncube-Moyo boasted of their happy, motivated, and disciplined workforce, mentioning how the company has grown from four employees in 1998 to over 4 000 currently.

The serial entrepreneur Philip Mataranyika, who was the guest of honour, highlighted that the security sector in Zimbabwe has never been the same from the time SECURICO was founded as they professionalised it. Prominent South African businesswoman Margaret Hirsch who was the special guest, highly commended SECURICO its success having found from ground zero and congratulated the team for reaching this remarkable milestone.

Dr Ndhlukula highlighted what made the brand fly and she attributed this to the people in and out
of the business whom she thanked for walking the amazing journey with her. It was evident to all present that SECURICO has managed to survive and thrive in less than favourable conditions. Several video testimonials were flighted from SECURICO’s key clients along with those of key employees who are indebted to SECURICO for the platform and opportunities it has afforded them. The night came to an exhilarating upsurge when Feli Nandi delivered an electrifying performance for guests. It certainly was a night to remember where all those present could not help but salute and toast to the phenomenon that is SECURICO.
