SECURICO is a force to be reckoned

The story of SECURICO has evolved over the past years and reads like a fairy tale punctuated by a string of successes that are akin to limited stories in Zimbabwe due to the economic environment. From a kitchen table to a servant quarter with four employees to Ebenezer House today, SECURICO has grown in numbers to more than 4000 employees, 900 of which are women, making it the largest employer of women in Zimbabwe outside government.
Advocate Arthur Marara, standing in for the SECURICO Board Chairperson Mrs Gloria Zvaravanhu, took it to the podium of the glamorous event and congratulated Team SECURICO on behalf of the Board. She wowed the audience with her celebratory remarks summed in the acronym SECURICO: S-Security; E-Excellence; C-Customer; U-Uplifting; R-Resilience; I-Indomitable; C-Capable; 0-Oneness.
SECURICO Guest of Honour serial entrepreneur Mr. Philiph Mataranyika, Founder of Nyaradzo Group, humored attendees with his speech delivered with so much comedy. He was quoted saying, “Today because of what Divine and SECURICO have done, security guards proudly wear their uniforms to work and are looked at with respect, envy even. We saw them proudly wear their green uniform. Today being a security guard is a sought-after occupation and I can imagine how many applications SECURICO HR gets.”
The Special Guest, Mrs. Margaret Hirsch, who is the Executive Director of the Hirsch’s Group, the largest independently owned Appliance and Electronics retail outlet in Southern Africa, alluded to similarities between herself and Dr Divine Ndhlukula that include women empowerment, community engagements, robust welfare for employees among other things. She inspired SECURICO stakeholders as she went on to say, “Anyone of us can turn from ordinary to extraordinary if we put in that extra effort. I always tell my team that it is not busy in the extra mile. There are few people in the extra mile.”
SECURICO is indeed a force to reckon having grown in leaps and bounds over the 25 years becoming a sought-after security service provider.
